We get so little visibility for our illness that I was excited to see crohns brought up on the show MTV Catfish last night. The show is about people who fall in love online and to determine whether the person on the other end is indeed who they say they are. Sometimes it works out and sometimes people are lying for a host of reasons.
The girl on the show was crying and saying her mother has crohns disease, she called it terminal and said it got really bad over the past few years.
So the word crohns is out there for millions to see and to understand it can be very bad and devastating unlike some of the drug commercials that seem to downplay the severity. Babysteps my friends.
