Hi,I haven't been on for a while because of lots of various tests I have been having over the last few months.
I am due to have another bowel op on March 5th to remove scar tissue which is causing me problems and I have been suffering severe back hip and leg pains to the extent I could'nt walk at times which a lot of people with crohns get as we all know.
I had it confirmed on Wednesday that I have myloma and they have found it in my skull.I am now waiting to have chemo and a stem cell transplant but the problem is the scar tissue so I cant start chemo till I have had the op because those drugs cause constipation and I cant get constipated. On the up side I have had severe diorrhea for 4 years with only the odd day of relief so that will be a new one for me.
I'm hoping I can take my lappy when I go into isolation for 4 weeks otherwise I will be brain dead as well so I will read how your all getting on.
I wish you all well and some relief from it all.
I'm very positive about all this and will get through it lots of love.

Wow.... That is more than one person should EVER have to go through let alone all at once... Wishing you all the very best with you up coming treatments!!! Stay positive.... Xxx

Sorry to hear that, clearwell. Sounds like you have a very competent team there and a good, positive outlook. Wishing you the best!

Well that's just taking the mick! Well done you though for keeping a postive attitude, I do hope things all go well for you  Also tell the docs they HAVE to let you take the lappy in, if nothing else when you are able to we need to you keep us updated on how you are gettng on!

Thank you JJ,Sawdust and Angrybird for you good wishes.I have to say my Doctors are amazing.I changed to this hospital in June of last year because I got admitted for chronic back pain and all they kept was doing was putting me on steroids. My G.P got really cross and got in touch with Lincoln Hospital and the rest is history. It has all moved really quickly from there. My previous hospital I was at for 4 years and they did my gall stone op and my ressection. The surgeon was fine but it has been the after care which has been rubbish.
Anyway I am away from all that now and I think the N H S is wonderful. I will let you know how I am when I can.At the moment I shall be seeing my GP tomorrow to see about wigs.......I hop you all have some respite.Lots of love xx

Wow Clearwell, You have been through a lot lately! And AB is right your positive attitude comes through loud and clear. I so glad you have found a healthcare team and hospital that you are very comfortable with! You will be in my thoughts...best wishes! :thumright:

I have to agree, you have a great attitude about it all!! I am sorry that all of this is happening to you. Maybe the stem cell transplant will help the Crohn's too? Just curious. You hang in there, and we are always here for support and even if you just need to vent! I really hope you keep us updated on how you are doing. You take care of yourself.

Hi to you both and thank you.Actually my GP told me that the chemo and stem cell will stop the diorrhea, you think I would be able to spell that by now the amount of years I've had it but never mind. That is something to look forward to.
I am at a bit of a lull at the moment so I am sorting out wigs and next week I have my second part of the pre op.The surgeon really cant say what is going to happen there cause he has said my bowel is very weak and I have had the stoma to practice with.I haven't yet cause I figured that if I have to have one they will show me what to do with it.
At the moment the bowel op is still booked for the 5th March unless they phone me..Take care all and I will keep in touch. xx
