I am a 32 year old single mother. I was diagnosed with crohns 2 years ago after a pretty severe flare up. I was admitted to the hospital and was given a colonoscopies and EGD. Both showed negative for crohns. An X-ray was positive, so they did a camera study, which came back as positive. So I was diagnosed. I was put on pentasa and prednisone. I stopped the medication last year as I felt the same on it as I did off it. I have not had a flare up since or really experienced any issues. I still have issues with having cramping and diarrhea after I eat, but nothing to severe. I have not lost weight, actually I am over weight. This weekend I started cramping and bleeding. Not sure on what that means...I was kinda hoping I was the lucky one. I have been on humira injections for 8 months. Any advise is welcomed!

Hello and welcome to the forum :)

Is you doc aware of the continued cramping and diahrroea? If so what have they said about this? I would say you do need to contact them as soon as you can to let them know about the bleeding, especially if it continues. We do also have a sub forum for Humira if you want to have a chat with the folks here about this as well: http://www.crohnsforum.com/forumdisplay.php?f=59.

There is a lot of helpful here so do have a good look around and please keep us updated on how you are doing.

Thanks. I did end up in the ER tonight. The cramping just got worse and I could not stand it. They saw a little inflammation in the CT scan. They gave me some pain meds, iv steroid and bentyl for the cramping. I am feeling a little better. I am going to make an appt with my GI tomorrow. I will look into the Humira posts.
