:depressed: I have Crohns and have to go a lot the bathroom and my butt gets raw and have tried everything I can think of to relieve the pain. Any ideas would be very helpful. I deal with fistula as well and have had my colon removed and deal with the pouch and some days are just tough

:welcome: Chad.......The raw bum is one of the many bad things about this disease.....A lot of use use and love a cream named Calmoseptine. It is over the counter, but most stores don't stock it on the shelves. You can ask at the pharmacy counter. If they don't have it they can order it in for you. It usually only takes one day to arrive and is not expensive.

Do you have a J pouch? There is tons of great info and support here. I am glad you found the forum.

Another vote here for the Calmoseptine, Chad. It's not just a barrier cream, but it can heal your raw butt overnight. It's amazing stuff. It's cool and tingly.

Welcome to the CF. Take thier advise about the Calmoseptine, just don't let them talk you into the panties. I think they like to pick on us guys and get us to do things that will embaress us. lol

Trust them, they won't give you bad advice

Hi Chad, i'm so sorry that you're struggling with this awful disease. deffinately try the calmoseptine, it's worth its weight in gold!

My favorite thing to do when the pain gets really bad, although i'm not sure if you can do this with the c-ton and fistulas, but is to lay face down in the bath. I feel like the water make it weightless, which somehow helps.
