Diagnosis

A quick update, seen consultant today who has diagnosed me with Crohn's disease, I'm currently in a flare and on steroids and starting me on azathioprina tomorrow with weekly blood test, he is also arranging an endoscopy

Good luck Cbanner. I haven't read your previous posts so I don't know what you've been through but I'm guessing it's a relief to have a diagnosis and to be able to tackle the disease? I hope all goes well with your new meds and the endoscopy.

Yeah it is defiantly a relief, it's been a hard 2 years, all the tests and scans as you would expect with diagnosing crohns, been admitted into hospital 6 times within 6 months and finally on the last admission they done a colonoscopy and found inflammation and ulcers. I haven't hardally worked for 2 years so hopefully things will settle down and I can get back to work in time, he is planning endoscopy because he believes it is in the upper area too
