I've been really weak and nauseous but no vomitting for the last 3 days and progressively getting worse. I finally went to ER and that had no clue. I'm wondering if I did the right thing by going or what symptoms dictates ER visit. Last time I felt like this, it turned into Kidney infection with a temperature of 104.8. I almost died from that one.

Uh, yeah I would have gone too! Experience is a great teacher! 104.8! Good Lord, snowchic! You could have wound up with brain damage.

Snowchic never question that. I went to the ER and had bug in my intestines which the doctor did a sigmoid and said it could be colitis...biopsy said no a bug. Whew! But in the meantime my potassium was so low they had to give it to me straight in the IV. Has anyone had that done, holy crap did it hurt my arm, they had to ice it and gave me morphine far more than what I wanted:eek2: having potassium levels that low was bad. So never doubt it. Your body is telling you something when you are in pain. Hope you are ok today!

Definitely the right move. It's better to go for no reason at all than to not go when something serious is happening. In my opinion it's always better to err on the side of caution whenever your health is concerned!
Hope you're feeling better!

I think whenever you are thinking you need to go to the ER, it is time to go. We all know how awful the ER can be, but it is better to get checked out.

Thanks everyone, now I know I did the right thing. Anyway, went to my primary doc today and got more blood drawn. She wants to rule out anything life threatening, as she said. I'll get my results on Monday. I'm not going to worry about it. That won't do me any good.

Ive gone to the ER under months of bloody diarreah. I wasn;t really tired or anything but I did have intense pain before passing stool and I was getting to the point which I was going practically every 20 minutes. Based on that I wasn't truely "sick" they gave me a CT scan told me my colon was inflammed then sent me home. The did a blood markup so in proceeding visits they found I was loosing blood rapidly and eventually I was admitted for a blood transfusion and further tests. I found though that if anything an ER visit is good for fluids and to get you hydrated.
