I have been suffering Crohn's symptoms since May. I have been to the doctor and ER numerous times. They were convinced it was my gallbladder, however it turned out it is normal and functioning just fine. My older sister was diagnosed with Crohns 2 months ago, so my doctor had some labs done and scheduled an EGD and Colonoscopy. The colonoscopy and EGD show no signs of Crohns, only a gross inflamation in my stomach and a hiatal hernia. In the meantime my 17 year old son has developed all the same symptoms, so he also had the labs done 2 weeks after i did. I am looking at our lab results and mine was a crohns prognastic, while my son's was an IBD sgi diagnostic. His came back positive for Crohns. My doctor believed i also have Crohns by the results of mine, however the doctor who performed the procedures says no. My question is can you tell if I have Crohn's from the prognastic? Shouldn't it have been the IDB diagnostic that was ran on me? The nurse insisted that they were the same test, however from everything i have read i know they aren't!
