I'm wondering if I should apply for disability, but my situation is weird.

Ever since being diagnosed(6 years) I have no energy no matter how good or bad my disease symptoms. My disease crohn's disease seems relatively under control though. I read the requirements for disability from crohn's and don't fit them very well so i always thought I would not be approved. But I just recently read that they will consider hearing your case even if you don't easily fit all of the requirements.

What are the chances I will be approved for any sort of disability? I know there are 2 types, any info from someone experianced or knowledgeble is welcome. thanks!

How many years did you work before becoming ill? Social security has a page you can log in to and it will tell you if you are eligible for SSDI. This pays more and you get medicare. If not eligible you can apply for SSI which pays less and gives you medicaid.

You can apply and explain all conditions but it sounds like you need to be using chronic fatigue syndrome as your main reason for disability. Do you see an ME/CFS specialist? Fatigue is a challenging one to get disability for because it's hard to prove. You need good documentation by a doctor and a lawyer specialized in chronic fatigue or fibromyalgia.
