I can't wear tampons, I get horrid cramps deep in my pelvic region. I tried again on the weekend, but after three hours I had to take it out because I was horridly uncomfy and could feel pressure on my rectum. Urgh.
Is this your first time trying them? Or are you currently in a flare and somehow the tampon hurts even though you've used them in the past without any problems?
If its your first time then you may not be putting them in correctly. The first couple times I tried were painful (think I got it sideways or something I have no idea) or just not in far enough making them fall out. I eventually got the hang of it though.
Another thing that may help is to use a smaller size like if you're using the super heavy flow ones, try the medium or light ones.
If its painful in general and you never had issues with them before then it may be best for you to see your GYN to see what's going on inside and temporarily switch back to pads (I found the ones with the dry weave with wings to be the most comfortable back when I used pads).
Nope, not the first time - years ago I could wear them, no issues! I'm having Gynae issues investigated (possible endo). I might try smaller ones, but my flow is pretty heavy. My bowels are 'flaring' at the moment.
