Hello,
I want to know if there are any other tests that can be done to test for drug induced lupus.
I've had

CBC w/ diff
sedrate
ANA
CRP
RF

which came out normal.

I've also done some other tests that also turned out normal.
I have a lot of symptoms of drug induced lupus after taking a medication associated with drug induced lupus, previously I have no health problems in my body.
What other tests can be done to test for drug induced lupus or autoimmune diseases?
Thanks

When I was being tested for drug induced lupus, I had ANA, SED, CBC, thyroid, and I think another histone test (can't remember the name, sorry). I was only weakly positive for ANA, but because of my symptoms and their severity combined with the fact that being off of Humira made them better, my Rheumy diagnosed me with DIL anyway.

An ANA panel is generally done, as well as CBC and a antihistone antibody test. If all of these have been done and came back normal, it might be time to examine other possibilities.

What symptoms are you having, if you don't mind sharing?

what is the difference between ANA and ANA panel? i did ana and CBC
which antihistone antibodies should be done for minocycline?
in a research study the antihistones tests were negative

joint pains, muscle issues, nerve pains
sometimes i have some flares
its a lot less now than when it first started but its still happening

thanks

ANA test and ANA panel are the same thing.

I don't have the answers for your other questions, unfortunately. I've never been tested for drug-induced lupus myself.

Have your doctors suggested any other possibilities? Would it be worth going off the medication to see if these symptoms go away?

yes i am not taking the medication anymore
do you know how many months after stopping a medication any antibodies should be found?
how long antihistone antibodies be in the body for?

thanks!

It can take up to a year for drug induced lupus to begin improving once the medication is discontinued.

Do you know what tests can be used to track the progress of it improving?

the doctor ordered these tests for me
-ana, crp, rf sedrate, rf (to compare to earlier values)
-antineutrophil cytoplastmic antibodies
-anti-cardiolipin (ACL) antibodies IGG & IGM
-anti dsDNA
-immunoglobin

are there any other tests?

what is the difference between the CRP quant test and high sensitivity CRP test? is there any point to do them both together or just one of them?

thanks!
