Entocort, Amitriptyline and Insomnia

I am on both Entocort and Amitriptyline. Besides the fact that the entocort is only partly working, I am suffering from really bad insomnia. I am also on amitriptyline, and that is making me exhausted, but I still can't sleep. Has anyone ever experienced this? Also, this time, the entocort is only working a little bit. In the past, it helped tremendously, but now it is just making things slightly better. I'm on 9mg and have been on for about 3 weeks now.

I was considering asking for predisone instead, but really, really don't want to do that. Does anyone have any advice?

I would give the entocort a little more time. I have insomnia too, and my doctor refuses to give me anything except Benadryl, which sometimes isn't enough. I think they all try to avoid any kind of sleeping pill or pain killer.

Take entecort in the morning

My son's dr told him to take in the morning as it can cause sleeplessness. It works for him.
