Hello, I have been through a series of medications and most recently my doctor has prescribed me Budesonide EC also known as Entocort EC. I am supposed to take 9mg of this daily but I am scared that it will lead to weight-gain and "moonface". I have experienced this "moonface" and weight-gain while on Prednisone and absolutely do not want to experience it again.
So this leads to my question: Has Entocort EC caused you get a "moonface" or gain excessive weight?

It's awesomely different then prednisone, because pred is released throughout the whole body, while Entocort is specially formulated to only activate in the stomach itself. I got prednisone moonface when i was younger. But entocort was awesome! I really enjoyed that medication and had no weight gain or moon face, etc. Good luck, I hope it helps you!
