Entocort...how long?

So I'm off to the GI tomorrow for my 3rd follow up since being diagnosed. I currently am on Entocort, but was wondering how much longer I will need to take it? Is it even worth asking tomorrow? I've been on it for 4 months. It has somewhat helped with the D, but I still have it several times a week & at least once as week it has blood in it. How long were you on it?

I was on it for a few months. My GI didn't take me off of it until my inflammation went down to normal and my symptoms were almost back at "normal". Even then he went down a dose to see if my inflammation would change before taking me off of it. I would talk to your GI. Even on my best days I go about 2-3 times per day. I think that is just the lovely Crohn's.

JillianB82 I have been on it since September '08, with the exception of one month when I tried coming off it and became ill again. I know someone else with Crohn's who was on it for over 2 yrs (at 2 pills a day, not the 3)
