When I was in the hospital they tried for what seemed forever to get the epidural in my spine. I was in so much pain, nauseas, and on th verge of fainting. After 4 people and at least 45 min they gave up and said I have an arthritic spine due to crohns and that I'll need pain meds through my IV.

Anyone else have this problem? Is this life long or might my spine skin part get wider and accommodate a needle?

They are supposed to do this whilst you are under.. Yes after my second surgery it wasnt working and they had to roll me to my side. I screamed in pain, of course they didnt pump me full of morphine first. Sorry it didnt work and sometimes it dont but I heard when it does it is pure bliss.

They gave me numbing lotion and a little anesthesia after the issues arose. It was horrible and while god willing I never end up in the hospital again but if I do I really don't know if I can handle that.
