Anyone else's kiddo have erythema nodosum? A's arms and legs look like war zones. Seriously, the worst she's ever had it with about 4-5 new lesions popping up a day. Most of them aren't painful but they look horrid.

For those who have had this, did the EN correlate with your GI symptoms? A isn't having diarrhea and feels pretty good other than the EN. I'm not sure if it is worth adding a new med or giving the Pentasa more time to get things under control. The GI did say that the EN may need to be treated separately. Just looking for info on what others have done....

Whenever I would break out with en, my doctor would put me on prednisone (quick taper dosage usually). That would do the trick....the main thing is to start treatment before things get too bad.....I would get incredible joint pain to......

Yes, My that was the last symptom my GI doctor needed to test her for Crohn's. My daughter had such mild symptoms that they did not consider the crohn's until after Erythema Nodosum appeared.

Kat - the EN biopsy eventually led to A's diagnosis as well. She's had it off and on for as long as I can remember but never this bad. I counted 14 lesions on one leg this morning!
