I was recently diagnosed with Crohns about a month and a bit ago, I have been having a sever flare up for almost 5-6 months now. I was wondering if anyone else has VERY loud and consistent noises in their intestine/gut area like I do. They seem to have started when the flare up did, and its constant sounds, all day, every day, no matter if I eat or don't eat. If anyone has any tips or tricks to reduce or get rid of these sounds, please feel free to let me know. Its just extremely embarrassing being a student in college and having to tell the people in your class you are "hungry" every 5 minutes of the day because It won't shut up :(

Yes I can relate to that! I've gotten many odd looks during meetings at work....

I find peppermint tea or peppermint oil helps if you want to go the natural way, otherwise I use gastrosoothe which contains hyoscine if it's got a different name over there.

Good luck

Mine would regularly sound like a drain. And it did get embarrassing, especially at work, though fortunately it'd be at its worse in the evenings. When I had the interview for my current job I started by apologising for my stomach.

Surgery worked. But I can't suggest any other way of making it better. Good luck.

Hi Layla! Thanks for the info, I might try that peppermint tea idea! And look further in to gastrosoothe!

Hi DEmberton! I know what you mean, the sounds tend to for the most party be usually in the evenings, but it varies, the sounds started when I had a flare up, I currently have a flare up, so once I get that under control im quite sure the sounds will go with it. Not sure surgery is the best option here to be honest. But thank you for sharing :)
