Hi All, looking for some advice,

I have now established, by mixing Modulon and actual food, that I have a transit time from 2.5-3 hours. I have suspected this since I am so hungry an hour after eating, I have seen raw tuna sashimi in my stool, and I have rapid blood sugar drops after ensure high calorie.

I basically see digested food in my stool all the time! I am starting to pick my food by how hard it is to poop out (ie. no vegetables or whole grains!!)

I am curious to find out what everyone's transit time is like (a), the location of your disease (b), and the couple foods that make it a horror show (c)?

That said, if I go crazy on a food that causes fast transit (ie. vegetables), it feels like it causes a tunnel blockage, and then I am constipated/bloated with diarrhea and finally pooping makes me lose 2-4kg.:stinks:

Depending on what I eat, it can be a couple of hours after i eat. If i have vegetables i have to make sure they are well cooked. I would try Ensure complete. It does not have carageenan in it which is supposed to be bad for people.

My transit times can vary between minutes to days. Soft drinks can often make me go in as little as 40 minutes. To slow down, I eat either pan fried or mashed potatoes. There seems to be very little else that will slow things down for me.

Sometimes a salad will go through me within an hour, even when in remission! I only have the disease in my colon. When in remission I usually go 1-2 times a day, when flaring it goes up a bit to 5-10 times a day.

I tend to have issues with apples, spicy and overly greasy foods, milk and ice cream (lactose intolerance though I can eat cheese and yogurt fine), sometimes nuts and popcorn, beef if I eat it too often. It all seems to vary. I could be fine eating something one day and then a few days later the same food sends me to the bathroom. I haven’t figured out all of the mysteries of the disease yet, even after 10 years.
