I know you're out there!! Video game playing freaks like me!!!! Video games can include the ones on facebook that my homepage keeps getting cluttered up with *grrrrrr*...lol

I'm currently hooked on Lego Indiana Jones 2 for my DS...but I also love World of Warcraft, and Bejewelled.

I love Legend of Zelda for Super Nintendo :) I liked the graphics back then. I'm also one of those annoying people that fills up your homepage with Zoo World stuff. ;) I'm not too bad, I swear. Oh, and Family Feud!

Family Feud seems to be catching on! It's the latest addition to my homepage on fb....lol

I just got Animal Crossing for my DS...haven't played it yet though. My bf's son has it for the Wii and he really likes it...thought I'd try it out.

I will just have to go off the top of my head, too many to name all and I'll probably miss some, but I'll stream some names off...

PC Games----Max Payne 1 & 2, No One Lives Forever 2, Far Cry 1, Command & Conquer Series (Mostly the Red Alert spin off's), Return to Castle Wolfenstein, Serious Sam Series, Soldier of Fortune 2, Unreal Tournament, Crysis, Bioshock, Mass Effect, Medal of Honor Allied Assault, Star Craft, Gears of War, Empire Earth, Age of Empires 2, Quake 3 Arena, Half Life series, Oblivion, Fallout 3

Console Games----Perfect Dark 1, GoldenEye 007, The Legend of Zelda Series (mostly Ocarina of Time), Super Mario Bros. Series (mostly SMB 3), Killzone 2, Uncharted Drakes Fortune, Time Splitters: Future Perfect, Mercenaries 1, Resistance series, Crystalis, Star Wars Battlefront 2, Super Mario Kart (the old ones, haven't played the Wii one), Super Smash Bros. (again, haven't played the Wii one), Savage Moon, The Matrix: Path of Neo, Army of Two, Star Wars: The Force Unleashed, God of War series

Portable games too, but they follow a pattern of mostly solid platforming or old school games, ie: New Super Mario Bros., Untold Legends, Link's Awakening, etc...and even older ones like the 2D Simpsons and TMNT games from the original Gameboy (I'm bored of Tetris, don't like it anymore, so no). But 3D gaming, portably, is great: God of War -Chains of Olympus and Resistance Retribution

I'm also a graphics wh**e, as the term goes...majorly adore sweet graphics, but it alone won't overall make a game legendary (except for its visuals, of course).

I only like the older Call of Duty games (people assume because I'm a massive FPS fan I'm into the new ones) the way they used to be, I refuse to buy the newer ones until either they're dirt cheap later or until Activision changes their attitudes. I also HATE music/ rhythm games (ie: Rock Band, Guitar Hero, DJ Hero) and turn-based games (ie: Civilization and Lost Odyssey)...Music games are too bland and basic for me, and I hate "taking turns" as it's unrealistic and pulls me out of the experience. There are no "turns" in war or in battles, it's dynamic and fluid, so the games emulating that should be as well.

I'm soooooooo sorry everyone
but I absolutely detest video games of any sort! My son irritates the life out of me with his X Box

The only game I currently devote any real time to is City of Heroes. Been a paying subscriber their for over five years. I still dabble in Guild Wars from time to time.

Have played just about every MMO released over the last 6-7 years. Play a lot of FPS shooters but nothing recently interests me.

Really just buying time until the Knights of the Old Republic MMO comes out next spring.

I have a DS and a Wii but I rarely touch them anymore. Always been more of a PC gamer anyways.

So currently just City of Heroes several hours a week. But even then my play time there got cut down when I moved in with my SO about 1.5 years ago. I feel guilty sitting in front of that machine when we could be doing something together, even if it is just TV.

A really fun game and a fantastic time sink. Nothing like having to constantly please imaginary animals so they don't move out of your town, and doing imaginary gardening.

I am obsessed with the Madden football franchise, this is my little fantasy world where the MIGHTY NEW YORK JETS are champs every year.

I Love World of Warcraft (Lev 36), Civ 4 and others. I know this is sad but I've loved video games since the days of the commodore 64, Amiga and the spectrum. Ah memories......

I love old school NES games, Mario 1, 2 and 3; Dragon Warrior, the Zeldas, Dr. Mario, Tetris... etc etc.

I currently have an old Dreamcast, which can play burned CD's of all the old NES, SNES, and Sega games. It's fun to hook it up every now and then and play obscure japanese titles, or play a few rounds of Wheel of Fortune or something... I also play Resident Evil on the DC, and South Park Rally and Chef's Luv Shack. Can't forget about Bust-A-Move!

Had an N64 and loved Mario Kart, and the Zelda: Ocarina of Time. Ughhhh, I remember the graphics in Goldeneye making me SO SICK at the time!

I had a PS2 and XBox for a while and liked the Final Fantasy games, and race car games. I think there was a game called Burnout: Revenge... that one was fun. So were Grand Theft Auto 3 and Vice City.

I recently played Lord of the Rings:Battle for Middle Earth 2 on my computer... Not bad, pretty entertaining.

I don't have a PS3 but man, I would like to play FFXIII!! I know people who are so intense with their WoW addictions... No way I am ever getting into that game!

I have been following KOTOR too. But the whole mmo thing is just way way too much of a time sink for me. I was playing Darkfall for while as I followed it for years hoping it would be all the things I wanted in a MMO. But not even close. The pvp Combat is awesome tho.

I play AD1701 quite often. Dragon age was also good but the replayabillity of strategy games is always the best bang for your buck. MMO's go on for ever but it is just the same darn hamster wheel hour after hour after hour.

Lets see, I've been playing since the original nintendo came out. My main addictions have been: Zelda (on NES), Punchout, Dr. Mario, Goldeneye, Zelda: ocarina of time, waveracer, Diablo 2, Starcraft, Warcraft 3, WoW, League of Legends, FFX, and a lot of others, but those are the ones that come to mind most readily.

When I was a kid it was totally Commander Keen 4, Hocus Pocus, SimCity and Tetris. As I got older Grim Fandango and Tekkan 2....

Now.......... Mario cart (on the N64 or the wii but prefer the N64) and Farmville (HAHA)

Actually I love adventure stuff and time management stuff more than anything else.. but I love watching someone else play and helping them.

My boyfriend used to play a lot of World of Warcraft and he was a soldier so loves the realistic war games.. I'll watch him play and make really unhelpful comments all the time. I'm so loving it's unreal.

Don't hav alot of games ATM
so solitare is bout it ATM lmao

I'm wondering if nyx is gonna add up all the results from her polls and list up what the results are for crohnies, fav game, hair colour, pets, etc etc
would be an interesting read that

How much time do you think I have on my hands Rob?? lol

But it's not a bad idea...I may get back to everyone on that one...

Rick: I still have a Commodore 64! It's almost as old as I am, ha ha :)

I've been playing a lot of Plants vs. Zombies. It's a really simple game but totally addicting and very fun. I also play the Sims 2 a lot (I got sick of the limitations of the first Sims, and I've heard that Sims 3 is really glitchy and buggy, so I'm sticking with 2).

Tempted to dust off my OLD atari 2600 lol

ah pacman and pitfall lol would keep me entertained for ages as a kid lol
and back then how amazing were the graphics lmao

Hey what's a half decent game for a pc- laptop that doesn't require a full on graphics card etc or controler or proper mouse? So can't be one that needs super fast movements to play lol

I really like 1701 AD. Rob. It is a builder and trade sim. But it takes hours to play a scenario. Always a lot going on to keep and eye on and fun AI to work with or against. My on-board card will run it but I do have a ATI 512meg dedicated graphics card that overrides the on-board.

It beats the latest version of the game due to them going to some stupid DRM stuff to be able to play. I refuse to buy games that force that.

I am a big fan of the Sims but haven't played in a while. I go through phases where I play a lot and then don't play for a long time.
I like my Wii and the old school games you can download. I tend to favor Mario games and Harvest Moon.
I play waaaayyyy too many games on Facebook. Although, I try not to annoy people by posting too much game stuff. :)

World of Warcraft, Diablo, Warlords Battlecry, Starcraft, Fable II, Kingdom Hearts, .Hack, Harvest Moon, Pilot Wings and so many more. I love video games in general and don't have a favorite.

I still play Diablo II and Starcraft religiously. Aside from the occasional WoW relapse, I mostly stick to console stuff... right now I'm playing Dragon Age :)

I just ordered Warlords Battlecry III for my boyfriend for his birthday (also got a copy for myself, I mean, so we can play together...). I know its an older game but I think he missed out by not playing it and sadly I don't think the 1st and 2nd game work with Vista (DAMN YOU VISTA!).

Vista does suck had to wipe my drive about 3 weeks ago lost 15 page essay for class. At least with xp you could go in to programing to fix stuff but with vista they dont want you to beable to fix it yourself next computer will be an apple have you ever heard of someone getting a virus with lenux? NO. Old Bill Gates isnt stupid he is rich for a reason lolol.

I was at E3!!! It was kind of a let down though, compared to its potential.

Currently playing Super Mario Galaxy 2 and the occasional MW2 online on my free time while studying for the Series 7 brokers exam. Trying to get Super Street Fighter IV!!

However, from what I understand it was a lot better this year since it did tank not too long ago. I am looking forward to Fallout: New Vegas m'self, and praying that they don't massacre Goldeneye by rebooting it.

Agreed on the GoldenEye remake...Have to be careful when trying to make a sphere more round, all you should be doing is making it shinier. :)

I'm really liking Deus Ex 3 and Killzone 3 as I said, the most, but I was shocked by the 3DS and Wii's presence. I have been mostly disappointed by Nintendo for a while. Ever since the Wii entered the market and they shifted focus to the casuals, it's been a very different tone with them.

Ooh, I completely forgot about Deus Ex 3... I totally had a marriage proposal written out for Deus Ex: The Conspiracy.

Favorite? That is a hard one to pin... What I play the most (until school starts up) is WoW...

and I had kicked that habit for a year too, such a shame

I love the old Call of Duty 2 for the PC! I wish I had time to play now. I have a PS3 with a bunch of games I hardly play!

UFC 2010 is good though :)

I just got Super Mario Bros. for my DS...oh my, the memories it's bringing back! Mostly frustration....lol

I forgot about Red Dead Redemption, I totally just blew my bank on Just Cause 2.

Just Cause 2=EPIC, Too bad there's no multiplayer

And Red Dead, just wow, great game, Rockstar is always awesome

I used to be a hardcore Modern Warfare fan, until 2 came out and they ruined it :/...Same went for the Battlefield series. The new Transformers is pretty entertaining also.

Hi BWS, yes these two games look awesome. I'm especially excited for Human revolution.

I can't wait for dead space 2! The first one was epic. I'd like to see resident evil 6 go back to the beginning and be remade.

Liam

Definitely. My most anticipated is Max Payne 3. I'm eager to see Medal of Honor return to glory, because I'm not the biggest fan of the last few COD's...too much "Call of Activision's Duty" and not enough of its roots. Not the biggest Halo fan either, really.

I just heard Far Cry 3 is supposedly "confirmed" and not rumored, now. Not sure how confirmed it really is, but the financial decision would make sense for it.

My dream game would be No One Lives Forever 3, on PC. I would pay $200 for what a well done sequel could be.

I've been looking forward to Diablo III for about 4 years now...when's the darn thing coming out???

I'm strictly a PC game snob. Not interested in the consoles due to the type of games I play.

Dragon Age was last winters passion for me but I found myself back at Anno 1701 in a few months. I picked up Dawn of Discovery (anno1404) last week as the price drop was too good to pass up and I decided to give Ubisofts new DRM a chance despite all the crying going on over it. TBH I dont even know if the DRM is running on my DL'd version from D2D so I guess it was nothing to get worked up about in the beginning.

Right now it's Fallout 3. I just picked up a couple of expansions for it. I'm holding off starting to play it again until I can get the surround sound hooked up.

Yes, the Medal of Honour game does look good. I must admit I am looking forward to the new COD. I believe that black ops will be the best one yet, the black op element will add more variety and interest to the game....I hope anyway lol.

I was really looking forward to getaway 3 and eight days as well....getaway 3 is delayed I hear. Not too sure about eight days.

Uncharted 2 set the bar....I cannot wait for uncharted 3, so long as they get the setting right it's sure to be a winner.

Liam

RTS games are tied for my fav genre Kenny, so I know how PC strategies go (Red Alert 2 w/ Yuri's Revenge being the best ever IMO, but Starcraft 1, Age of Empires and Empire Earth 1 are all classics too). Also of note, Company of Heroes, Dawn of War and Supreme Commander...Sins of a Solar Empire and X3 and the likes...4X games...I will be buying Starcraft 2 when I get it for $40 or less, and I hear it goes on sale next week at Kmart (they've done a gaming department revival). Consoles have little merit if that's your primary genre.

David's probably right from all I've read, Blizzard took 12 years for SC2, so don't be surprised if they take their time with Diablo 3. It's confirmed, it's being worked on, but 2011 is too soon for something so massive/expensive and they still have 2 other StarCraft 2 expansion packs for the "trilogy" of the sequel too. 2012 sounds apt.

SciFi, Duke 4 (aka Duke Nukem Forever, I take it?), was canceled, but there is still supposed to be a PSP Duke Nukem. That's the only release now planned for the IP. 3D Realms is fighting legally over the whole thing, they went bankrupt more or less, and liquidated all their funding over the last decade "working" on Duke Forever. The battle is now about kicking ass and chewing bubblegum in court, sadly.

Liam, have you ever played Call of Duty 1 or 2 on the PC? I believe that will always be the classic way it should be, before Bobby Kotick spoiled the IP with utters made of gold. The newer ones are still fun, but, I just wish IW had the right to do as they wish. As it stands, there's constantly talk about them defecting/getting pissed about legal assaults and the likes, they're treated like crap (I'm for the dev's, ALWAYS, as that's where my training lies, not in publishing or marketing)...Uncharted is gold already, Naughty Dog are design gods.

I have been a core Nintendo player most of my life, and I've missed out on good third party titles that have passed by before.

I used to like Final Fantasy a whole lot, but from them I'm really only looking forward to their next remake of Final Fantasy VI.

That being said, my favourite Nintendo games are Mega Man X, Super Mario Galaxy 2, and Luigi's Mansion. The next one would be reserved for one of the Zelda games but I'm kind of undecided between Link's Awakening, A Link to the Past, and Ocarina of Time.

My favourite M-rated games are Mass Effect and Fallout 3. I haven't tried Oblivion yet.

Currently playing Red Dead Redemption and I am enjoying it. I'd consider adding it to my favourite games list.

For the sake of the poll, my absolute favourite must be Mega Man X.

Hey BWS, nope I've never played COD on PC, I've only played it on ps3. MW1 and MW2.

Good news, Duke nuke em forever has been confirmed as being in production for PS3 and Xbox 360, due for release in 2011. So, really looking forward to that one. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Duke_Nukem_Forever

Naughty dog are indeed kings, they had it down all those years ago. Crash bandicoot was what it was all about when I was a young kid.

Don't forget about windows. I can't stand playing FPS games without a keyboard & mouse. Damn thing has been in development for 13 years, f**ker better be good.

Video of gameplay @ PAX (Penny Arcade Expo)
ooh, twins... ;)

I hope so...I bet it will be.

I can't play FPS games without a standard contoller lol, but I do know people who have the same opinion as you, they think it's easier and more fun on the PC. I've always found it hard and over complicated.

Liam

Yeah, I know. Epic lol, the day after I posted Duke Forever got canceled news broke from PAX that it was back on track. I read about that on N4G.com in like 3 different stories...it was hilarious, because I recalled posting here about it being down the drain about a day prior. The first one (well, not Duke 1 and 2, but Duke 3D) is timeless. Duke Nukem Forever? I have faith in it being at least "a good game" but I don't know if the 13 years of expectations and "do-overs" will amount to "enough" for everyone, even with a new team/outlook. At least Gearbox is at the helm, and I've read some recent interviews w/ Randy Pitchford that he's committed to Duke's survival/excellence. The problem was Broussard and his naivety, IMO. It's like he wanted the game as vaporware. Otherwise, the game would have come out long ago.

I actually prefer the precision of Keyboard & Mouse but do really well still with a controller. I grew up with controllers (NES and SNES) and got into K & M about 10 years ago in Unreal Tournament and Quake 3 when I got my rig for college in 2001 . I learned really quick how deadly you can be with it, the accuracy and the speed, it's so fast-paced. ("DOUBLE KILL" ..."ULTRA KILL!!!!"... "GODLIKE!!"..."WICKED SICK!!")

It's just so much more accurate. Don't worry, if you try to get used to it for a bit, you will, Liam. Maybe give it a try on something like Unreal Tournament 3 and dumb down the bots, just run around and practice. You'll get the hang of it, and won't lose out on your controller skills either. The cool thing is, you can use a Keyboard and mouse combo on the PS3, in games like UT3, so it's perfect to try, you don't need a gaming PC.

I have a dream FPS I've got a notebook on, and if I can finally land a job at some place, I swear I'd make them rich and the game would just glow with infamy. It's a culmination of every little thing I and most gamers have thought was fun in games, especially from games like No One Lives Forever 2, Half Life, Soldier of Fortune 2, Perfect Dark, Call of Duty 1, Return to Castle Wolfenstein, and so many others. I had code-named it "Flanked" for a long while, haven't changed it, though...

Do you like Third Person Shooters much, Liam? Beyond Uncharted, games like Mercenaries, Gears of War, Max Payne or Army of Two?

Hi BWS, yeah I might try it out and seee how I go, thanks for the advice.

Your game idea sounds cool, you should hold on to it and try and develop it. All the big games have to start off somewhere.

Yeah, I like both first person shooters and third person shooters. My favourite third person shooters are metal gear soild...especially number 4, gta, hitman, the getaway etc. Stuff like that.

I like all sorts of games and so long as it plays well and has got a solid story line, I generally like it.

Liam

I can't name them all or I'll be here for ever. We have every console including all the classic, all hand helds, every family member has their own PC plus an extra swing laptop and High end core i7 on the big screen in the living room. :p A family that games together stays together. LOL Lucky for us that we own a computer business.

Currently playing anything interesting on the Ipad, WoW is on the back burner until the expansion. I'm a slight altaholic (14 level 80s). Anxiously awaiting the new Civ(September 21st). So if I get bad news from the specialist I can cheer myself up with the new Civ. :p

I play almost any genre except for sports games. I'm a little ticked that GT keeps getting bumped back. Grrr

I haven't had much time for games recently, but my favourites would have to be the series of Command & Conquer, Unreal Tournament (all but UT3), Starcraft, and Diablo in moderation. Supreme Commander (after the popular Total Annihilation) didn't live up to expectations, but still enjoyed it a bit.

I prefer RTS when I have time, but FPS is always good for a bit of stress/pain relief :) I just don't tend to play FPS other than UT unless with mates, but that's a thing of the past now.

on a related topic.

The new Fallout game is out. I shortly I will be throwing it in the machine, and spending the next couple of days ignore my personal health and relationships.

I've been playing a lot of Halo Reach. Before that came out, I was hooked on Starcraft 2 which I'll probably return to at some point. I downloaded the new Fallout but haven't played it yet.

I play Halo Reach and SC2. Add me.
GT - Aboort
Sc2 - Abort.798

I find the amount of fun I have in Halo to be proportional to how many friends are on my team. All you have to do is call people out and it's easy as hell, but randoms playing alone don't do that.

I got hooked on Wii several years ago and I love the bowling. I can actually beat my husband! Now if we were doing this for real? NFW! When I am really feeling crappy, I pull out my original PlayStation (yeah before the numbers) and play a VERY old game called Spyro the Dragon. I don't have to move, think or anything. It keeps me sane.

Also yes D3 will be on the list having played the demo a few times at two different Blizzcons including the most recent one (yes I'm that much of a nerd for Blizzard games). They didn't really give any official sort of timeline, but 2012 seems reasonable based on the discussions I heard. They might also make late 2011 depending how far into world development they are since the classes are all created (not finished mind you).

All I have to say is the monk is amazing and the PVP arenas were ridiculously fun.

Why retire from the WoW? The game hasn't reached its final level cap yet. :p

I was playing WoW, but stopped because I could only go so far on my own. I can't stand playing with other people...they just wind up pissing me off...lol

I just play with my friends. I don't go on raids either. You should be able to do most of the quests on your own as I always have. I'm also a druid though but if you pull wisely, you should be fine. What level did you leave off at?

Last level I got to was 52 (I think)...I was a Night Elf...so kinda wimpy...lol I relied heavily on my pet.

There's nothing wrong with Beast Mastery. There's EVERYTHING wrong with playing alliance though.

I started on Alliance then turned to Horde when I got fed up with Alliance kids. 80 Human Warlock and 80 Blood Elf Holy Paladin.

I love video games. I see a lot of WoW talk in this thread, but I've yet to try it. I'm all over the board with genres that I like. My favorites are probably Shadow of the Colossus, the Metal Gear Solid series, the Pokemon series, and the Castlevania series.

Why retire from the WoW? The game hasn't reached its final level cap yet. :p

I retired because I was playing more than I wanted to. Raiding 2-3 nights a week from 7-12 (after getting home at 6). My wife raided with me so at least we did it together, but she got off work at 7 (home at 8) 2 nights a week and we went out to a friends house for D&D one night a week, so basically we had one free night a week because of the raiding. I decided it was too much and wanted more freedom in my schedule to play other games and enjoy time with my wife.

Dont really play games (think it stems back to the atari and amiga 500 when my bro always kicked my ass at any game)

Enjoy the COD games, just had to buy a new graphics card for it tho, a GTX460 and at optimal graphics its still laggy :s (using a phenom II 550 processor as well)
Just downloading HAWX so will have to see how thats like

Battlefield Series...1942, 1943, Pacific Fighters, Bad Company 2, etc. I'm a HUGE WWII buff aside from my passion for racing cars and my motorcycle. So being i'm Japanese it's no surprise im a big video game nerd lol. I'm also very impressed with the new Gran Turismo 5.

Pfff ps3..... Hehehe. Terri are you buying bc vietnam? Im undecided.

I'm Japanese therefore I'm a video game nerd and a child of high tech stuff..You know it..can't wait to fly in the choppers and pick off fools! I wish they'd make a more in-depth extended version of Battlefield 1943 with campaign modes and more maps with weapons packs though..I'm a HUGE WWII buff.

I just picked up Assassins Creed Brotherhood and Red Dead Redemption, as soon as I finish New Vegas I'll crack open the packages.

Been playing Back to the Future: The Game (Episode 1) and I have to say it's OK. It's not great, it's not bad. It's OK. But a million times better than the NES and Genesis games were. Though Super Back to the Future for the Super Famicom was decent.

I also got my N64 to work for 45 minutes the other day so I was playing some Resident Evil 2. Then poof, it went out again. I'm pretty sure I need a new PSU but before spending the money I need to test the old one to be sure.
