first humira injections today!

Today i had my first round of humira injections! Have to say, actually pressing that little red button on the top of the needle was one of the hardest things i have ever had to do! And i can't say it didn't hurt either. But for 2 or 3 seconds of pain - i have a lot to gain from this and i am praying that it does as much wonder for me as it has for other crohnies out there! :)

Also, i don't know what it is like elsewhere in the world, but the humira nurse who helped show me and guide me through my first round of injections was so wonderful and kind! I just feel really lucky to have such a great support network of not only family and friends, but doctors, nurses and even pharmacists too. I can't really fathom what it would be like not to have that great immediate and extended group of people who care so much about my progress.

anyway - i guess we wait now and hope for the best!
When do you guys think i should start seeing results?
What are your experiences?

I'm guessing maybe a few weeks from now?...

You'll soon get used to giving yourself the injections.

Noticeable difference might be apparent in 4 days onwards, or not for months.

It will get easier over time. The first go round for me was tough as I did not want to pull the trigger. But, after 1½ years, I don't even think of it. You'll get into a routine.

No worries.

Good Luck

i had headaches when i increased my dose but then they went away after a month. the headaches happened the day before i took it. they were like migraines but disappeared after 2 months. not pleasant but not the worst thing since they left.

Every time before i press down i get nervous like it's the first time. and as soon as it's over i feel silly because it's so easy.

In my calender i have in which quadrant of my stomach i should do it. it helps me from always going to the same spot.

Congrad! and i hope it help!

I had my first two injections yesterday evening and the next two will be on Monday.

For you who have been on Humira for a while, how long did it take for you to notice an effect?
