Fistula? Abscess?

Hello everyone!
I really hope someone could help me. So about a month ago I started feeling really itchy between my bum cheeks and noticed a hard lump on the right bum cheek between the cheeks a little below my tail bone. I tried to take a look at it. It looks like a cyst with a hole in it. Not only is it itchy but it's starting to become painful. At first I thought it was a pimple but it's been a month and it's just getting worse. It's also not a hemrroide. Does anyone know what it could be? I am going to go to my gp but the only day I can get off work is next Thursday. Would a sitz bath help? If anyone has any idea what this could be please let me know.

I would definitely try the sitz baths and call your GI. Keep us updated.

Could be a fistula. Could also be a pilonidal cyst, maybe? I would definitely get in touch with your GI. Sitz baths should definitely help and can't hurt!

Thank you I'll try and contact my GI. I am getting another colonoscopy and endoscopy on Aug 4. Hopefully I can get in before then to talk to him. Living in Canada, it can sometimes take a while to get into the specialist

Don't rule out hemorrhoid, mine started like that, I thought twas a fistulla until I found that its hemorrhoid but if its by right it is likely a fistula but check with ur GP

I am sorry you are dealing with this. Is it like close to your tailbone? If it was a hemorrhoid, it would b literally in the anal canal. It sounds like this is too far up to be a hemorrhoid. It is a good idea to have it checked out just to see what it is.
