Hi all,
I am scheduled to have outpatient surgery for a fistula repair (flap advancement) tomorrow and my doctor's office has given me instructions to use an Fleets enema tonight before bed and one again tomorrow morning. I have recently heard news that they have been pulled from the shelves because they were causing kidney failure, but I figured maybe that problem was taken care of? When I went to Target last night, they did not have any Fleets enemas. I asked the pharmacist about it and she said that they had been pulled from the shelves. They did have Target brand enemas (phosphate) which she assured me were safe, so i purchased two. But I have to say that I am a little concerned. I have tried calling my surgeon's office, but they have not returned my call. Does anyone have any info on this subject??
