flu jab.

Hi everyone, this will be the 1st year my son, kian will have the flu jab. how did everyones child respond to it and should i expect some flu like symtoms.... hope it doesnt make him poorly. xx

It says you cannot get the flu from it due to there being no live virus, Im not sure but there may be illness symptoms due to to the body attacking the foreign bodies but I guess it shouldnt be too bad. Ive decided to have it this year seeing that im on aza and infliximab

The last time I had one (years ago, and in remission), I felt flu-ish for a day or two afterwards. I'm having one tomorrow and hoping for better results.

We are the end of flu season here and both my kids had the vaccine this year with no ill effects except for being a little tender around the injection site for a couple of days.

We just got our flu shots last week. A little arm soreness the next day, but no issues for our family or my Crohn's-son (on Remicade). It's recommended for all caregivers to get it too. Biggest concern is with any egg allergies, much like other vaccines.
