Flu Shot and Remicade?

I will be calling her doc tomorrow to ask this question.

grace will be getting her second loading dose of remicade next week.
She needs her flu shot.

Is it better to wait a few weeks after the infusion to give the shot?

I'm pretty sure I was told one or two weeks before and after the infusion. Because S was already out of town last fall, I remember trying to coordinate a schedule with him.

I would definitely check as the loading doses are so close together.

I don't know if it was you tess or someone else but a recent thread addressed this and the person also said 2 weeks before or after. I was happy to know that because I had no clue it would be an issue since it's not the live vaccine anyway. I guess it has to do with building antibodies.

It could have been said on my thread and I didn't remember it, happens a lot these days.

Well after this loading dose it will be another 6 weeks to the next, so she should be good there.

I just pray her temp doesn't shot to a 103 again like when she had her last flu shot.

I was told on Saturday after my first infusion, 10 days before or after.
