I have Crohn's disease. I've had it since I was 16, I am now 31.
I have hit a wall with this disease and its only getting worse.
I have gone full elemental diet a few times before for a few weeks at a time.
I think the longest was a month and it worked well. In fact juice fasting and or going elemental diet are the only things that have ever made me feel like I was in remission. I used Ultrainflamx before and it worked well but I'm not
sure its a permanent solution like some of these by prescription elemental diets. Also if there is something that works better or is cheaper I need to know about it. At this juncture I have decided the best thing for me is to go on a near permanent elemental diet.
I need people that have done this before to tell me what products they used.
How long they used them and whether or not they worked.
Please tell me:
The product name.
How long you were on it if not permanently?
Did it work? By that I mean did it reduce your inflammation? Did it measurably reduce your Crohn's symptoms either by your own estimation or as measured by your doctor or tests?
Is it available in the US?
Is it available by prescription?
Was it affordable? How much did or does it cost you per month?
I have read a lot about this on this forum and it seems that most people respond to questions like this with how the product tasted and nothing else..
they dont say if it worked or not or if it was affordable or how much it costs per month to live on it. I'm looking for pertinent information and not so much vague comments on how this or that product "tasted". :thumright:
I already know about Ultrainflamx and if no one can tell me about anything
better or cheaper Ill just go with that.

A lot of the others mentioned here are either not very available or too expensive. If you know of any others that you have personally tried and work please let me know.
