"full" feeling in colon/rectum?

I always feel a "full" feeling in my colon rectum
as if I need to go to the toilet when I really don't. It doesn't hurt, just feels a little uncomfortable.
Anyone else have this?

Hi Kayleigh90, I get this sometimes and my GI said that I wasn't empting my bowel properly so he told me to start having more fibre in my diet. Which, for me, has fixed the problem but sometimes if I eat to much junk food it comes back for a few days until I eat clean again and consume more fibre.

Deanne is right that it can be an incomplete emptying. I believe that inflammation in there can also produce a similar feeling. This seems to have been the case for me, and a medicine called proctofoam did help a lot in dealing with it.

I would speak to your doctor about that, if it does not clear when you do actually go to the toilet, it may be an issue that requires further investigation

For me, inflammation caused a feeling of fullness. You should at least give your doctor a call and let them know.
