Well, finally they seem to have determined that my most recent symptoms might be major gallstones, due to elevated liver enzymes, severity of attacks etc. and i go for an ultrasound to confirm it.
While I am very, VERY relieved that this is not a Crohns related flare, i am wondering if gallstones are a terrible thing? After Crohns, I think our definition of terrible is different from regular people, lol. but for so long all my medical issues have been related to Crohns, that I have forgotten I have other body parts that can malfunction too.

Anyone ever deal with this? Do you think it is related to Crohns or just coincidental?

I had this problems a few years ago. I ended up having laparoscopic surgery to have it removed and I felt much better afterward!

I hope you get some more news and hopefully they can get you better quickly!

I had gallstones and had my gallbladder removed as well. I don't think it was related to my IBD, but I know the medical community has been discussing whether there is a link there or not.

Like Manzyb, I was greatly relieved once it was out. The pain was pretty severe and had been going on for months.

Thanks for the info. I will probably be relieved and happy if it turns out to be only gallstones with a simple cure. Right now I am getting a sneaky and fearful concern that this has something to do with my long term use of cipro for Crohns. I have other odd little symptoms that i can't explain, but when taken all together, make me wonder if they are medicine induced. So hard to know.
