So one of the biggest things in battling Crohns is a healthy diet, but being a college student, sometimes(read most of the time) im eating fatty foods. Are there any quick easy HEALTHY meals that college students can make? Currently I only really eat healthier fare sunday-tuesday.

The things that irritate my gut the worst are the "healthy foods"
(Veggies, fruits, nuts, fiber cereal.)
Maybe lean meats like turkey, chicken, on sandwiches??? Look around the food/diet thread for better suggestions.
Good luck in school.

Hey raleigh id imagine thats hard if you are on the school mealplan. Do you have a school supermarket maybe you can make your own stuff?

You could always do something like white rice with chicken and soy sauce, lean meats, low fat yogurts, fish, if you can handle fruits and veggies peel them and enjoy, gatorade, water, rice krispies, corn/rice chips

In college I couldn't eat at the dining halls... it just didn't sit right with me. I mostly ate poptarts, sandwiches, cottage cheese, soups, and those microwave bob evans mashed potatoes.

wow poptarts really? id be scared to mess with those because of all the sugar and chemicals. i think sugar really bothers me if in big quantities.

When I was in college the food was more like umm going to... well lets say they had the stander college affair greasy burgers fries pizza and such but they also would try and offer a home cooked style meal for the day. Some days of the week when I was in my culinary classes I got to eat like a King. At my girl friends college (much larger) had a really good selection I thought. It was broken up into sections in the main hall Pizza had its own thing, then they had people making custom sandwich's, salad bar, grill station, and a sauté station my girls favorite thing there they would have something different each night cooked it freshed in front of you with what you wanted from the selections for that night.

If you are looking for things to make in your room then I would try things like healthy request steamers, easy mac and cheese, soup, sandwich. Be careful with some of the frozen meals because they have a ton of sodium in some of them.

I guess it really depends on what you got access to cook with or prepare food with? But good luck and hopefully you will figure something out.
