I am 17. My guys friends love to pick on me for not having a girl. I just let it go most of the time but the other day it got to me. My friends don't understand at all what I go though day to day dealing with my crohns. I'm more worried about having a normal crap everyday lol I don't have the time or the effort to worry about a girl. Plus there is no way I could talk to girl about what I go though. Anybody else's in the same place?

Hey, there are lots of people going through the same thing for lots of different reasons, some people are sick like us, others want to focus on school / college or maybe they just don't want a relationship yet. You have every right to focus on your health right now, and if your friends are true friends they will see that. It is hard for others to understand what it's like living with a chronic illness. Don't feel pressured into finding someone just because they have. You'll do it when the time is right for you and you find someone you feel you can share all this with, even if you wait to get things under control first.

Don't let them get you down....you can always tell them you are keeping your options open!...Especially at 17 - have as much safe fun as you can - and remind your friends when they have to 'answer' to their girls - gee...I don't! lol...:rof:

Seriously - there is nothing wrong with making sure YOU are number one in your priorities - the right girl will come around, and you will feel better for having taken the time for yourself first to be able to concentrate on a relationship later.
