Anyone else here go to a gluten free diet?
Its pretty easy to switch to or was for me. But the strangest thing is happening now, because my husband is diabetic we have wheat pasta bread etc in the house and i can barely stand the smell of it now, it makes me nauseous to smell it.
Has anyone else had this affect from going gluten free?

I'm undiagnosed, and one thing I have tried is avoiding gluten. Other than the occasional beer, I haven't had any gluten for a little over a year, not that it seems to have done much good. Anyway, I can't say I've had the experience you mention of feeling nauseous at the smell of toast, etc.

well other than the smell effect, I've had wonderful results from avoiding gluten, within two wks of starting (i switched over slowly) i had no diarrhea what so ever and it has not returned ,other than one day when i went off and had a piece of sara lee pound cake,

I am an undiagnosed Celiac (only because I was nearly dying and had to start a gluten-free diet immediately and couldn't wait for biopsy). I have found that a lot of gluten-free food agrees with what I can and can't tolerate in terms of IBD.
I do get the smell problem. And if I get glutened I can tell right away because the food tastes gross.
