Hi people! I'm here to share a little of my experiences with the gym.
I started going to the gym to make some work out on the beginning of December 2013, with the consentiment of my doctor. On that time I was above my normal weight (I am 168cm tall, my weight was 78kg then) and I decided that that would end in 2014.
I have a somewhat heavy work out routine. I am going to the gym 5 times a week (last one was 6). I run for like 25-30mins (just yesterday I reached the distance of 4km), and after that I start doing some (kinda hard) weight lifting. I am being accompanied by the local instructors who knows I have Crohn's disease (even though I feel like they don't know exactly what it is, and keep asking me if I'm feeling alright ).
Things got better after I started those exercises. I am more tranquil now (and I'm a very stressed human being!), feeling more confident and all. As for my symptoms, even though I can't say that they are gone, they got a lot better. I did not change my feeding habits, but they were under control way before I started exercising.
I must say, I am impressed on how good I'm managing to keep up with this working out rhythm. I wanted to share this. My CD is a light to normal case; I never needed a surgery and I'm just using azathioprin now. Perhaps there are some others there who could also be exercising and could use those cheering words
Cheers!
