So I saw, my GI and my surgeon last week. My GI wants to wait a good 4 months before they do the reversal and he put me back on Imuran (boo) and my surgeon didn't commit himself. He was a little concerned that I still have a small hole on my right bum cheek from the fistulas and as the top of the hole was sealed off during surgery, it should have healed. Its also draining and keeps swelling!!! I think he suspects either another fistula or 1 that still remains which may need a seton fitted into it. Things are never easy are they????
So. . . . on Monday, I have to go back to the hospital to have a general anaesthetic (put to sleep) to have a proper examination and possibly have a seton fitted (boo boo boooooo!!!!!!!)I'm a bit apprehensive, don't know why, I've been put to sleep loads of times, I think its because I'm nervous about what they might find. Anyway, I'm only on the day ward, so I will let you all know how I go on. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that all is ok.
