Gums- sore

Day 1 - Bottom gum sore, nothing visible. GI checked and also consulted her book to see whether it had been reported as side effect of aza.

Day 2- tiny pin sized clear bubbles under both front bottom teeth. At the end of day the bubbles looked white.

Day - tiny bubbles have spread and are now on the gum both sides of one of the bottom teeth. Bubbles appear clear.

Any idea what this could be?

Mouth ulcers - DS gets them same area .
Same pattern
Gi is not too concerned since all else lots normal on DS

Herpetiform ulcers, the uncommon RAS, are <5 mm in size. These painful lesions are initially multiple pinpoint sores and usually occur in older individuals. Healing takes about 7 to 10 days.

S just, today, mentioned that he has one or two mouth sores each month. Not sure what this means?? but he said it's not the same as pre-dx when he had many more of them and he said this frequency (one or two/month) hasn't changed since he went into remission?? So, in his case, it hasn't seemed to be an early symptom of anything else going on...

(But, I only know what he's told me... ie I don't know exactly what they look like.)

I would lean towards ulcers too. Do they hurt? If they are ulcers they hurt!! Our GI ended up sending us to a dermatologist. That was a great help to us. She gave us some good things to help battle this. She said it was related to his crohn's that has been flaring.

They were more painfully before the sores appeared.

They now look like red patches and the gum.

My son also had what looked like a rash on his gums. Then his gums got really really red all over-for months. Just last night I noticed that parts (the tips between his teeth) are looking pink again. And we're seeing less blood when he brushes his teeth. Our GI didn't do anything.... Not until Brian sent an email to our GI at Mayo... then he made an appt for us to see the dermatologist. I guess they take care of oral crohns. The magic mouthwash didn't help us
