Hamman with an ostomy??

I am curious to know if anyone with a stoma did try going to an hammam?
I'm gonna backpack Morocco (thank God for remission!) next few weeks and I was wondering if it was a too awkward experience to try.

I'm well aware it depends of me more than anything but I was wondering if anyone had good or bad experiences to share related to that.

Sounds divine! But I'd wrap everything up in tape to feel more secure. And I would'nt let them use oils around it.

Morocco is wonderful! I absolutely loved it. (Didn't backpack, though )

I didn't use a hammam there, but I did have a Dead Sea mud wrap in Jordan and a wonderful all-over naked massage in New Zealand (masseur was a very large Maori lady) and used the hot baths (again naked) in the ryokans in Japan - with no problems at all.

I often tape around the edges of the wafer/base plate (with micropore) in situations like this. It does give a greater sense of security. :thumright:

I had to google hammam to see what it was - sounds fabulous! I don't think I'd be brave enough to do it with a stoma myself but thats just me personally and there is no reason why you shouldn't if you feel your bag would be secure. I was going to suggest wearing a waistband for security but after reading about the experience i realised that would defeat the purpose of the hammam at least for the covered part of your body! So nothing constructive to add other than to say go for it and enjoy.
And have a fantastic time backpacking around Morocco.

Hi Jane , I'm from morocco and I would like to tell you that going to hammam with stoma is fine especially if you go to luxury hammam you will feel more comfortable than going to a public one and if you have any questions feel free to MSG me. Simo
