I hit my 6 months anniversary since my surgery. I got the greatest gift from my brother.
He has generally been very uncomfortable with the idea of the bag and such. So much so that I have to keep tucked in and NEVER talk about Berry the stoma. The day before the half year mark I was wandering around the house looking for a few things that I put down. I asked my brother Where's my shit? and with out a second thought or pause he answered "In a bag on your belly". I laughed so hard and made me so happy that he could make a joke out of something that makes him very uncomfortable.
