Presently I have several rashes on my back and shoulders which are all the same shape. Has anyone else ever experienced this and what shape is the rash usually if it is a specific shape as it appears to be with me.

I have a rash that hasn't totally gone away - what shape are you talking about? Are they circles, odd shapes, etc.....mine may be drug-induced psoriasis - haven't been able to figure it out 100%....

Yes they are circles and while they don't go away completely when I have my infusion they do fade. Then when my next infusion is approaching they get more noticeable again.

It may be a type of psoriasis.....you should probably get it checked by a dermatologist - they can check for fungus etc too......

No mine aren't like that David. There are a few vitamin deficiencies that can cause rashes similar to that (was just looking up beriberi today which is low on B1). I'd have blood work done if no one can figure out what that is.

Before I was diagnosed and symptomatic I developed soe sort of rashes. They were red, itchy and about the size of a quarter and they also had smaller white bumps on the inside of the circles. After I got a job though they seemed to disappeared but they were all over my body. My mom thought they were stress related hives but these things didn;t look like hives.

I asked the district nurse to have a look when she came out and apparently it is what she called a stress rash.

This ties in with the fact it gets worse right before my infusion as I always get really nervous and this time in particular as I have not had it in a while.

This while annoying is possibly a blessing in disguise as I want to have my infusions at home as the journey to the Hospital is very draining plus I don't really like hospitals.

Are you on Remicaid?
Just make sure that if you get other weird manifestations you signal them. I'm still being screened because of weird symptoms possibly linked to Humira on my side. I had some specific, discoid skin patches on my neck/arm/torso. They were itchy and scally as psoriasis would be but I was also like UV sensitive(that came after). I would not be able to walk or use my hands if I were spending time in the sun for a few hours. Therefore, they though of drug induced-lupus. It's better now so they havent discontinued the treatment but just keep an eye on unusual symptoms. If you have some face skin issues and what not, just report them to your doctor as they are relatively frequent (secondary pso, arthritis, lupus and what not).

I am not on Remicaid I am on what from the layout of these forums appears to be a very similar drug infliximab.

Now that I know I seem to have got a possible side effect I will be keeping a extra eye out for any additional symtoms as you suggest.

Remicade and infleximab are the same drug. Remicade is the brand name infleximab is the science name.

Thank you for telling me they are the same drug I was totally unaware of this until now and if I had heard one of the nurses call what I have only known up to this point as infliximab remicade I would have panicked that they were about to give me the wrong drug.
