I am going to paint or have my significant other paint a BIG red bullseye on my butt before the procedure! LOL

Maybe its my sick sense of humor since, and the fact that to me it makes it even more hilarious to the doctors that THEY know you aren't there to enjoy the laughter to be had. But idk, I just think it would be hysterical as long as the GI has a sense of humor AT ALL lol.

Anyways thats my little making light of the situation story.

A little about me, I'm 25 and had crohns for a about 6 years or more maybe before then that was undiagnosed and had symptoms. Maybe it's because I am fairly new to the disease but to me you have to make fun of yourself and the situation and it helps everyone and especially yourself get through the situation and makes you think less of it. Hope this helps some people I suppose.

Thought I would share this nice little idea for you all and see how it goes and hope everyone thinks its as funny to everyone as it is to me... I have a scope scheduled for the 3rd and my gf will do it but idk lol I can't decide to do it or not I'm a little nervous which isn't usual lol I dont want 50 holes in my intestines lmao

Hahahaha! I think I'd want to know my GI pretty well and have a good rapport, including laughter, before trying this...but it's pretty cute. It's like people having surgery who write notes on themselves in ink -- "Not this ****!" or "This arm! Not the other one!"

Hmmm...maybe you could write something on top of the bullseye... "rear door for exit only" or something like that.

LMAO!! My brother...who has Crohns as well.... and about 25 tattoos on his body....ACTUALLY had tattooed....on his tailbone area...just above the anus...."Exit Only"......

It was funny the first time our doc saw it, cause she is always asking him..."OK, what new tattoo do we have today?" So one day...they go through the routine...as she is getting him ready for the sedation, she is talking to him... asking what his latest tattoo is...and he just gives his goofy grin and says "Oh..you will see it!!".... so she lifts the sheet to "prep the area for the scope"...and there it is...in big black block letters.... with a little arrow pointing down.... I thought she was gonna drop the scope on the floor....

Kind of related but taking a suppository last night and the girlfriend in a dead serious voice asks me "shouldn't you lay down after that so it doesn't come out afterwards." I about peed myself lol

I always ask the GI to report to my parents that my head, is in fact, not buried up there.
