Hi my name is Rosie,

I have had a life time of medical problems. I was born with a birth deffect called Gastroschisis. I had multiple surgery's as a infant and was in the NICU tell I was 3 months old. As a child I was symptom free witch was a miracle in it self!!!! I had my first child in 1998 and that was a picture perfect pregnancy. I then had my second child in 2002 and had some pain and problems with kidney stones and he was born at 36 weeks but was healthy and strong but only 6lb.

After My second child I was having a lot of pain and dealt with it for about 9 month before going to the doctors. I was scared of what there were going to tell me but I made my self go....that was the hardest part!!! I was referred to an surgeon and has a Colonoscopy that was failed due to a maul rotated gut. So then was the surgery. I had an 9 hour surgery that consisted of 4 adhesion removes 2 hernias repaired appendectomy because it was on the wrong side. I also had a scare revision. I then got a staff infection and had to have a debreedment and was on a wond vac for 21 weeks so in the end has a worse scare at the end no fun!!! But once I healed I was felling good for awhile.

In 2007 I was having problems again and found out that I was pregnant with my little miracle. That was a rough one I was in pain the whole time and had a lot of complications. She was born at 4lb but was very healthy.
Two months after she was born I was in the hospital with sever pain and they took out my gallbladder. After I has that removes I was still having stomach pain on and off. It gradually got worse and worse. I ended up in the hospital again and had surgery that was 3 hours and they removes scared tissue and had a ng tube for 1 week and was on a liquid diet for a month. when I went in for my follow up apportionment he told me that he thought that I had Crohns and that I would have to see some one different.

I started to see a GI and it was a hurry up and wait. I had a hydrogen breath test and the first one was done wrong and the second one was failed. the next step was for me to have a Colonoscopy witch I was heavily sedated for with propfol and was able to get a biopsy witch came back inconclusive......ahhhh!!! The GI then wanted for me to get blood work that my insurance would not cover. So waited some more and was able to get oth for a capsule endoscopy. Then waited four weeks for an appointment to get the results and was told that 3/4 th of my intestines was infected....so They put me on pretasone and had a bad reaction after 3 days....I had the worst head ache that I thought that my brain was going to explode!!!! So I went back to the doctor and got prescribed entacort witch my insurance would not pay for so my cost was going to be 3000.00 a month and that I could not do. So that is why I am now on Humira witch seemed to be working at first but are now having problems with it.

Three months ago I got a letter from my GI and it said that they would no longer be able to see me as a patient....WHAT REALLY!!!! I called right away and ask if that was right and the resonance was that I missed 2 appointments in less than a year. I even called 24 hours in advance to cancel them both. You have to be kidding me. So now I have to drive 2 hours to see a GI and it is taking 2 months to get in. I am looking at the bright side because when I got my medical records the reports said that I had 6 Aphthous ulcers, 5 nodularity, 9 ulcers, mucosal erythema, Erosive gastritis and nodularity throughout the jejunum and ileum. I was not explained any of that at any point. So I am hoping that this new doctor will let me know what is happening with me and get every thing figured out and me felling better!!!

Thank you for reading my story it seems a little long sorry about that!!!

Hi Tahoemom and welcome :)

Wow, that's quite a story, you've been through so much :(

Are you still on the Humira? Have you seen the new GI yet or are you still in that 2 month time period?

Again, welcome!

Hi David,
I am going to see the new Gi on July 3rd I am hoping that he will have some answers for me!!! I am still on the Humira. thank you for the welcome. It was hard to sit down and type all of this but in the end it made me fell better:D

Hi Tahoe Mom,
I am sorry to read that you have gone through so much pain. I recognize many things that I have gone through.
I wanted to ask you, Did they remove scar tissue from the inside of your intestines? I am curios b/c I have scar tissue inside my intestines but my doc, said that it cannot be removed.

Hi livegreen,
Yes I did have it removed from inside of my intestines they had to recesion them to be able to do so. The only reason that it was done was there was a complete blockage!!! I hope that this helps. If you have and other ? I would be happy to help in any way that I can.
