Hi everyone!
Don't know if we are supposed to give names or not, but my name is Julian, I'm 18 years old and was diagnosed with Crohn's Disease of the Illium around Thanksgiving 2008. I have had flare ups on and off since then. I was diagnosed after a full summer of pain with almost no support from my family thinking it was in my head or my "poor diet".
I started Entocort soon after I was diagnosed in late 08 and took it for almost a year. About a year and a half after stopping the Entocort, I had my second big flare up which was worse than the original. The doctor and my mom fought about what to give me which ended up being Methotrexate which I am currently still taking. I'm in remission and have been for about 5 months.
Right now I'm living with my mom and dad with the plan to move out in January. I'm joining the site because I've used it a lot to help and cope, so I decided I should join so I can ask questions and prepare to be on my own!
I look forward to actually communicating with other people with Crohns since there is only one other person I know with it in my life!
