I have had Chrohns since the age of 17. Had my colon removed, as well as a lot of scar tissue. Now im having severe pain on my left lower side. Last time I was in Hospital they told me I had Ulcers on my stomach, and a small bowel obstruction in my lower intestines. I have no insurance, so im having to deal with this pain with Bentyl, heating pads, but its not helping at all. Does anyone have any other home remedies? I just about cant take it anymore. :sign0085:

Hi Kendra and welcome to the forum. I'm so sorry to hear you're having so much trouble and that must really be frustrating not to have insurance Have you looked into medicaid or other state sponsored programs? Are there free clinics in your area? Remember, you can also go to the ER if it starts to get bad and they have to treat you.

Thanks. Ive tried to but i drew SSI since the age os 18 & when I got married in June of 2006 hubby made too much $ & I lost all my benefits. I had to then go try & work. Fast food Telemarketer, lost them all because of "accidents" caused by my Chrohns. At my age, 37 i haven't worked long enough to draw unemployment, & i got turned down 2 times already from disability cant get medicaid because i have no kids under the age of 18 * im not pregnant. Im from Ky its so messed up.. sry to keep going on. thanks again tho

Wow, that's a terrible situation, I'm so sorry I unfortunately don't know enough about the various programs out there to comment further. However, what you may want to research a little is enteral nutrition. It's a liquid diet that can actually induce remission or at least reduce symptoms. It could be as simple as going to Wal Mart and buying some Ensure. Read this forum for more information.

Sorry to here about all there problems
I am also new to the forum, only been on here a few days and the support is amazing!
I have tried the liquid and must say it is great! Would recommend to anyone struggling with symptoms! And you get lots of yummy flavors in the Ensure drinks, must say tropical was my favorite I did it for 3 months but found other options which suited me better But give it go, you never know

i drink Ensure Dark Chocolate, but about 30 minutes later im in the bathroom. Goes straight through for some reason
