Hey All!

My name is Trey. Im 22 and I’ve been in the hospital for the past 3 weeks. I initially came in for I&D in some abscesses but upon further testing and surgery the docs realized they would have to do an ileostomy in order for my fistulas to heal. The radiologist actually said they fistulizing was the worse they’d seen. My bowels had been asleep for about a week and a half and I was starting to lose hope. Lots of nausea and vomiting, bowel obstruction, nothing was going right. However, over the last two days my bowels have been going non stop and I might even get to eat some solids tonight. It’s been quite a ride and i’m finally feeling like i’m over the hump so i decided to make this account to talk to others who may be feeling down or just to share some positive vibes since i know from personal experience how hard this can be.

Trey,
Wow, quite a journey you are on. Solid food and hopefully you will go home soon. Take care and best of wishes to you.

Michael

Trey, thanks for sharing your story !

I am new to this forum and have felt at home with everyone here.

I am sorry for the many surgeries you have had to endure 🙁.

Solid food ! I am jealous, I have been drinking liquids for almost two months 😮.

Sending you my support. ❤

Lynda. 🌼
