Hey guys the dr prescribed me daxilant 60mg for my sy tomach ulcer any other suggestions to get this thing to heal fast? I heard cabbage juice yuck!!!!! Any suggestions would be appreciated thanks

My son was prescribed a PPI for his ulcers as well. The first script we got wasn't strong enough so the GI doubled his dose and it did the trick. He had to be on iron supplements and Prednisone at the time, which upset the stomach so I think that was why we needed the higher dose.

He took them an hour before dinner, it took about 2 weeks before he really started feeling better. We told him just to avoid foods that upset his stomach, which weren't many.
He was able to go off the PPI about 5 months later. GI wanted him off the Prednisone and Iron before we could get off of it. He hasn't needed them since and seems to be fully healed.

I think the liquid diet would definitely help, it wasn't necessary in our case.

Do u think the ulcer could be making me feel this crappy right now? In afraid if things don't turn around soon I'm gonna be laid up in the hospital I can't seem to shake this yucky feeling I just have that tired sick feeling no appitite hot flashes with sweets my bowels r screwed up and it dosent seem to be turning around for the better I'm afraid there's more going on then a Crohn's flare but usually that's what it is. So hard to tell the difference between a Crohn's thing or something else I've been in and out of the er all summer had cat scans with dye contrast, x rays, barrium swallow test, and all they have found is a ulcer and inflamation due to Crohn's. Maybe this entocort isn't gonna bring me through this I may need something else I wonder if I call my gi and tell them whats going on if they will prescribe me something else? All I've ever been on is remicade(which worked amazon) and now entocort 9mg a day and flagyl I've been on it for a while now with lil improvement other than my backside has healed up but other than that I still fell crapy

I generally avoid doctors and meds unless I'm dying. In 2014 i had a 8 month long belly ache that i attribute to stomach ulcers. Only time it let up was when i layed down for hours and it felt some better after meals. About 6 weeks ago i started taking probiotics and in 4 days i was way way better. I'm not at 100% but maybe 80%
