Hi, I am currently being treated for 'probable' crohns disease. I have been on prednisolone since March 16th and am due to take my last one tomorrow.

I have been getting headaches for the last 8 days, have been feeling really nauseas for the last 4 days, and have also been getting pains in my upper abdomen.

The nausea and stomach pains have been waking me in the early hours for the last 3 nights, and I haven't been able to sleep. So the last 2 nights I have had to make myself sick just to get a few hours rest.

I am not feeling too bad at the moment, but then I haven't long had my first thing to eat today. It seems to get worse as the day goes on, and then becomes unbearable in the early hours.

Really not sure what is going on??

Does the pain in your upper quadrant get worse when you eat? How about when you take a deep breath? If I may ask, what color are your BMs lately?

It sounds like with the pred gone, inflammation is returning and you are likely still in a flare. call your GI, let him/her know and discuss the idea of maintenance medications. You likely will need them.

Thankyou both for your replies!
Orchid- Yes the pain does get worse when I eat, dosn't hurt more when I breathe in. bm's are the usual dark brown.
My stomach is also now extremely bloated since I have eaten lunch.
