Help - severe groin, back, nerve pain. Worse at night

Pls help
My husband is having a Crohns flare. On a reducing dose of steroids and azthioprin. His Dr has said he has a metre long area of structures in his small bowel and they are trying to get it under control. He's on a Low res diet that's supplemented with liquid powder drink
The problem is he's awake every night sith severe pain in his testicles and back. What's going on? We don't know what to do? He's been in and out of hospital for 6 weeks

I am sorry for what your husband is going through. You might want to ask the doctor if they want to up the steroids for right now.

I had two strictures and they are the worst thing to contend with...always worse at night.
My very clever GI saved me from surgery and opened the stricture in the remaining piece
Of large intestine it took him a lot of time and he has to resort to paediatric instruments..
So far so good.He also opened the esophageal stricture with balloon endoscopy.
Hope it lasts.
The awful night pains are gone....why is it always worse at night? Suppose it could be posture...I used to get small relief from getting up and pacing around indoors.
For some reason my GP had refused anti spasmodics...
Hope your husband will feel better soon with the appropriate help from the docs.
