Just to add what happens in investigations i can not go into hospital has im a singel mum to a 2 year old and a 9 month old baby and dose the investigations hurt can they do it via out paient god im so worried

I'm sorry you have been feeling so bad has the dr given you diohrilite? If so how are you managing I couldn't keep that stuff down. There are different severities of UC so it could be that you have something going on even though it's not as bad as it has been. If they send you to the hospital for investigations you will most likely have a colonoscopy which is usually just a day or half a day in the hospital. The colonoscopy is fine they give you drugs so you don't feel anything and are pretty much out of it. Hope you find some answers soon xx

Hi Emma,

Sorry to hear what you're going through.

I know it's easier said than done but I would say try not to worry too much and definitely go to the hospital for some tests. I've had a colonoscopy, ultrasound and MRI and they were all done as outpatient procedures x
