I need to lose weight. I am newly diagnosed, 50, female, and morbidly obese. Not what *I* thought was a Crohn's candidate!
I know from experience that the best way for me to lose weight is using a low carb approach. That, for me, would include lots of meat and veggies, including salads and a variety of not overcooked veggies.
Alternatively, I used to try to only eat whole grains, nuts, and seeds if I was not "doing low carb."
Can you see my dilemma? My comfort level is better with Crohn's foods. But I feel better, and have better access to weight loss when I eat veggies and salads. I thought, maybe, I was far enough out from my flare to eat a salad, so I went to Jason's. Mistake.
Please share with me how you've been able to eat healthfully and nutrient dense with whole foods and experience minimal discomfort? Or am I delusional? :ywow:
