I was diagnosed with Crohn's Disease in November 2012. Since then I have been through so much, so many ups and down it seems insane. Lately, I have been in so much pain its being to get unbearable. My doctor is in the process of changing my medicine because nothing has seem to be working so far. I have been on remicade, humira, and imuran. None of these have helped at all, my body keeps forming antibodies and its making it difficult to go into remission. My doctor told me there's a new medicine that has just been approved by the FDA called Vedolizumab (it's a monthly injection but it's in a different category than the remicade and humira are classified). Now, has anyone heard of this medicine? Or is anyone already taking it? I'm nervous because it was just approved, but at the same time this might be my lucky medicine! What should I do? Or what medicine is everyone else taking that is working for them?? Please help!
