There is something really wrong with me ...but i think everybody just thinks im crazy! For the past year i have been having on and off symptoms of just pure craziness.. The first time it happened i thought it was the flu but then later on in the year i realize you dont get the flu 10x's a year. My symptoms are crazy i always feel like i have to poop and cant ... i get these like horrible gas pains that put me on the floor literally and it would feel so great if i could just fart but thats not the case i will sit on the toilet and try to poop and nothing.. and when i can poop it's like watery yellow diarrhea... and i also vomit to sometimes if i feel like i really have to poop and cant i will eventually end up vomiting. I have been to the ER numerous times but b/c i dont have health ins. they look at me like im nuts and tell me to buy laxatives that never work and tell me to get a family dr. I have an app. coming up but i cant get in for a few weeks and im just miserable doubled over in abdominal pain... and i guarantee you when it is time for my dr. app. all my symptoms will disappear thats usually what happens i will make the dr. app. when i feel like im going to die and then when time comes for the app.

the symptoms are gone and i always brush it off like maybe it was a bug or something and cancel the app. and then a couple months later here we go again. I came to this forum cos it seems like the closest to all my symptoms.. and i just found out that someone on my dads side had Crohn's any suggestions..??? Im a 23 year old female?? I have also had an eczema like skin rash on my stomach since i was 13 and it has never went away and when i hit around 15 or 16 i used to get alot of boils but they never had staph in them .. i dont get boils like i used to when i was younger but every now and then i might get one on my butt but i never really did get an explanation of why i had the rash on my stomach and why i got boils and the drs. tested me for everything and eventually called it eczema. The reason for bringing it up is i heard you can have skin conditions with crohn's? but another weird thing i notice lately that my stomach rumbles really loud and i can feel the rumbling all over my stomach and my back and sometimes my butt. i don't know I just need a piece of mind im miserable and my stomach is always playing games with me sometimes i will feel the need to run to the bathroom cos i feel like its going to be explosive and then i sit on the toilet and nothing .. but my pains are like those horrible gas pains you may have had when you were younger and it put on the floor for min. but then you fart and feel brand new, mine feel like horrible gas pains that cant be relieved cos i cant fart or poop.. HELP!!!!

Another thing with Crohn's is it normal to maybe feel completely normal one month and have great BM's and then another month everything be all screwed up like it is now???

Hi and welcome to the forum! :D

Vomiting, severe pain, flu like symptoms, passing some stool sometimes that's watery but usually can't go really points towards an obstruction or partial. You have a couple of options. One is to go back to the ER and say that you think you may have an obstruction and ask for tests like a CT scan or barium swallow, any test that will show one. Since its the weekend this may be the better option.

No matter what, don't cancel that doctor appointment! What you can also do is get on the waiting list for canceled appointments so you can be seen sooner. Call them and tell them you need to be seen ASAP and need to be put on the waiting list for canceled appointments and let them know that you've already gone to the ER recently. Make sure they are aware of your severity (who knows, they might even be able to squeeze you in that day).

When you see the doctor tell them what happened in detail (remember your worst days possible, write down your symptoms so you remember). Ask to be referred to a GI specialist so you can get proper testing along with a proper diagnosis.

Yes it is possible to feel fine sometimes and feel like total crap other times. The thing with Crohn's though is that if you leave inflammation untreated it keeps building up scar tissue in the intestines over time and this can cause a stricture/narrowing/blockage/obstruction which can be fatal if not treated properly.

Yes Crohn's can cause extra-intestinal manifestations. You can read about all the different ones here: http://www.crohnsforum.com/showthread.php?t=22407

If it helps, here are some clinics in your area that might be of use to you: http://www.freemedicalsearch.org/cit/il-peoria

Thank you for the information it helps better than the doctors anyway.. i hate how the doctors always say stop diagnosing yourself but yet they wont even try to run a test on you b/c you have no health insurance. I def. will not cancel my appt. this time b/c i have been miserable on and off for year now and im ready to get to the bottom of it.

Hi Alyssa,

Crabby gave you wonderful information. I just want to make sure you tell the doctor that someone in your family has Crohn's disease as that increases the chances that you have some form of IBD.

Please keep us updated as to how you're doing.

*hugs*
