Hepatitis B and C test.

Has anyone been given an hepatitis screen "out of the blue" ?

I am given a form for blood to be taken the week before my Remi infusion ( they always give it to me 8 weeks before at my last session).
It wasn't till I handed it to the nurse this morning that we both noticed the extra tests on it - particularly the hep ones - no one mentioned anything at my last infusion or since.
I am trying not to worry as I can ask all about it when I go in next week , but it has unsettled me a little , I must admit.

I haven't had it out of the blue but they did pre-test me for it before I could begin Remicade. Maybe your doctor checks every once in a while and it's just standard practice?

You are probably right , I was never tested before I started, in fact it has never been mentioned before - though the Doc did talk about TB.
Actually , in the summer a new consultant took over my care , and thinking about it I bet she has asked for the test.
