Hiya evryone! Sorry it's been a while since I've been on, May 31st to be exact. Well here I go again for surgery. I get the date today supposedly. Just waiting for the call. My only saving grace I know of right now is that it's just a stricture this time and not a full blown blockage. My Gi dr. and surgeon rather it not get to that point considering last time; which btw I spent 2 yrs seeing my surgeon on a regular basis since that last surgery, and having multiple other surgeries during that 2 yrs (2004-2006). I am scared out of my mind having to go in for surgery again:frown:, granted I was fortunate to have 5yrs since my last surgery, but still scared b/c of what happened last time. Sad thing is I'll be happy if the only problem that happens is another tempary ileostomy. Though praying the surgery goes well since it's just for a stricture:rosette1:. Anyone else have surgery on a stricture? If so, if I may what happened? was it better than going through a surgery with a blockage if you know?:sign0085:
Stupid test make me sooooooo mad at times :mad2:. We who have had Crohn's for a while now tend to know a few things about our bodies, like when something is just wrong. I'd been tell my GI doc I'm hurting, vomiting, bms are different, the whole 9 yards, but of course they only go by what the damn test say. Of course all my test were coming out "normal", making me look like a dag on lier until May. Then it finally showed the stricture, but they said it wasn't bad enough to operate yet. So it was getting worse, the pain, to were it hurt even to lay down, and much more to do anything else. So I called my Gi dr. again and had another small bowel series done and it showed the stricture had worsen quite a bit, enough for surgery now. Granted I rather have surgery than go through this next semster in all this pain, but that doesn't make it any less scarry. :frown: ok I think I'm done with my pitty party.
