My name's Jess and my boyfriend, 20, has had Crohn's for some years now.
I came here to gain more of an understanding about it and to offer some advice;
My mum sells herbs for horses, she's not a trained nautropath but she knows her stuff. She suggested slippery elm bark powder may help Crohn's if anyone is keen to try it. My boyfriend is not very keen to try it because he is one of the fussiest eaters out and it turns to glue in water, but it does horses guts a world of good and works the same in humans, or so I am informed.
If anyone wants to know anything more about Slippery Elm Bark or any other herb send me a message and I'll talk to my mum about it and get back to you. My mum could even email you if you wish.
From what I've seen so far some people are seeking alternative medicine as nothing on the market, at least in Australia, seems to be any good for pain relief or curing a flare up.
Nice internet-meeting you all!
